Update on the job-searching front
Nope, I havent found a job, but life is looking up a bit...
Mom is in her third cast now n has much more use of her hands. Therefore, I'm no longer mommy-sitting! I've had a few relief assignments at ahmad ibrahim sec n dat was sorta fun. A very much welcomed human-interaction experience. We celebrated racial harmony day earlier today...der were boys dressed in the "olden days kampong style malay men" costume which consisted of a sarong, d ultra thin white singlet n songkok; n boys in the "indian chapati man" costume of 'lungi' pleated at d front. I was having P.Ramlee Days flashbacks.
Today is my last day at AISS. Starting next week, i'll b doin long term relief at xishan pri teaching malay n cme to P1 n P2s and art&craft. If I'm considering to join nie, dis will b a very good opportunity to gauge if i'm up to the chalenge.
The HOD was telling me abt my responsibilities... on top of making lesson plans, teaching and marking, i hav to attend contact time/meetings. Oh n if i'm not already overwhelmed by d role of a full time teacher, i was told dat i'm d level representative. So i sorta hav to organize worksheets 4 d malay teachers teaching those levels. Yah. Fortunately, d HOD was understanding. We'll take it slow aiite.
I'm aware i need to give this assignment a fair chance to gauge my abilities accurately. Look at things in a positive way. Who knows, i might actually like it. Ok i shall not jump d gun here, shall juz see how it goes.
Oleh itu, mulai sekarang, saya harus cuba mengunakan bahasa melayu dengan betul dan sempurna. Ya, dan perlu membawa kamus ke sekolah. (translated: I need to speak proper malay n bring a malay dictionary to school) :) Wahaha...

Last weekend was Pink Poker Weekend in Shaz's JB palace w Az n Shrek! Pics r still being uploaded. We took long, exploratory walks ard the place, ate abt 5 times a day, played poker, uno, hedbandz, charades, played w d poker chips as much as possible, late night swimming, horse-visiting, tropical fruits buffet, playing games in d dark cos we short-circuited d lights w d laptop adaptor, chocolate ice cream w sunflower seeds, fried rice w cheezels(for d lack of keropok), asam pedas n fried chicken, living thing in the toilet, pet fish in d bathtub.... For a Pink Poker Weekend, rule of thumb is: Anything Goes! Feel free to bend n break d rules...

This chica literally had a Blazing birthday. We now hav our very own dragon in d group, who almost set me on fire! But thanks to Miss Firefighter Sharm, i left d scene unscathed, yay!
