Hey ho!
D last time i blogged, it was abt my indecision abt taking german3. So i finally decided not to take it, n signed up for basic conversational chinese instead. Chinese is once a week, n is non-examinable, which is a great boon!

Also, since semester began, we've had 3 Toastmasters sessions in 3 weeks, which was 'siong' but fun. During d 1st session, i did a table topic. That went gloriously for my standards. Except that the timer didn't hav d normal light warning system, n i was afraid of being too brief, so i went on n on, n wen i finally ended, i was over-time. Tsk.

I did my Project1 on d 2nd session, n dat was last minute, didnt exactly memorise my speech, but it was good nevertheless. Of cos ders still room for improvement. But i was happy i got dat 1st hurdle over. During d 3rd session, day n i were table topics master. Day did most of d work, afterall, it was her brainchild. We juz came up w d qsns together. Being a table topics master, i later found out, is a smaller version of being Toastmasters of the Evening. It was fun, n it also required a certain amount of thinking on your feet. It was great, n i would like to challenge myself to do TME soon. I wanna do evaluation too, but have yet to muster up some confidence for it. Oh, n i got a clean sheet on d 'Ah counter' dat evening. Congrats to me, nyahaha....

For those uninformed, Toastmasters is a club where members learn how to improve their speaking skills, English language, n build confidence in addressing groups of people. Projects are prepared speeches of length about 4-7 mins and Table topics are impromptu speeches of abt 1-2 mins long. Evaluations are reviews of someone else's prepared speeches and TMEs are the emcees for the evening.

So you see, afterall d exciting things i've done so far, i'm glad i made d decision not to take german, der will always be other outlets to improve my Deutsch.

I'm still working on my chinese, so as for now, zai jian! (Nyahahaha...)
